HiSet Options

***As of January of 2014, the GED test is no longer being offered. In its place, the state of New Hampshire will offer the HiSET high school equivalency test.  For more information about this change, click HERE. ***


 
The Winnacunnet Adult Education Program is also a HiSET Option School.  Students who qualify may opt to enter the HiSET Option program instead of the traditional diploma program.  If you are interested in enrolling in the HiSET program, and are 16 or 17 years old, please contact our director to set up an interview.

 
Who is Eligible?
 
-NH Students 16-18 years old
-Evening students who are looking for an alternative to a high school diploma
-Students who meet the minimum reading and math level requirements

What We Can Offer You
 
-Alternative to dropping out
-Formal instruction and 1:1 tutoring on HiSET test material
-Alternative to day school
-Highly Qualified Teachers
-Formal Graduation Ceremony (participants will receive a certificate of HiSET completion)
-Free tuition
-Open Enrollment
-Evening classes offered M-Th from 5:20-8:50 PM

Program Requirements
 
-Mastery of test material in each subject is required to take the HiSet
-Adherence to strict attendance and participation policy
-Classes meet 4 evenings per week
-Team meeting and application are required
-Must meet minimum reading and math standards (8th grade level or above)
